Stella Lee, M.D.

Dr. Stella Lee is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. She finds joy in helping patients return to their active lifestyles, be it a physically-demanding job, playing a musical instrument, or taking care of their children and grandchildren. Her approach involves listening to her patient’s specific needs, considering the latest scientific evidence, and, as needed, applying her surgical skill set – ranging from minimally invasive surgery to complex reconstruction. She is committed to working closely with the patient’s hand therapist for both non-surgical treatment and post-operative rehabilitation. 

Dr. Lee received her medical degree from the Health Sciences and Technology Program at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She completed Orthopedic Surgery residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program, where she received training in Orthopedic trauma at multiple Level I Trauma Centers: Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Boston Children’s Hospital. During residency, she pursued additional training in pediatric hand surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital as well as complex reconstructive microsurgery at Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore, India. She completed a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she received specialized training in plastic and reconstructive surgery, and treated patients with a wide range of traumatic injuries. She is a skilled microsurgeon and expert in the treatment of nerve injuries.
