Dr. Gandhi specializes in sports medicine, with emphasis on shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee arthroscopic and open reconstructive surgery. He has a special interest in the management and treatment of complex shoulder disorders. This includes minimally invasive approaches for rotator cuff disease, labrum and ligament injuries, instability, and shoulder replacement surgery.
He received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his Orthopedic Residency at LenoxHill Hospital in NY. He then completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Kerlan Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in CA. During that time, he worked as an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Sparks, Anaheim Ducks, and University of Southern California Football Team. He has been very active in orthopedic research, and presented at both national and international meetings. Dr. Gandhi was Board Certified in 2012 by AAOS, and is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America and America Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine.
As a passionate sports enthusiast, Dr. Gandhi understands the finer aspects involved in taking care of athletes across all age groups. His personal interests include golf, basketball, running, swimming, skiing, and softball.
